TUTU University - Apprentice Teachers

Annalin Crawford is 14 years old and is freshman at Richmond Hill High School. This is her 6th year at Off Broadway and her 4th year on the competition team. Annalin takes Tap, Ballet, Contemporary/lyrical, and Jazz. Her favorite style of dance is tap! She is an active member at Compassion Christian church and serves on Sunday mornings with her 5 grade girls. Annalin loves working with kids and is looking forward to teaching this year at Off Broadway.

Alana Fields is 13 years old and is an 8th grader at Richmond Hill Middle School. Alana loves to dance and at Off Broadway with some of her closest friends. Alana has been dancing since she was 3, so this will be her 10th year dancing. Alana takes Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop. However, this year she hopes to try Jazz and Contemporary/Lyrical to have exposure to as many styles as possible. Alana has been on the competition team for 1 year, and this season will be her 3rd at Off Broadway. Alana loves a good challenge, and hopes to have a good dance season this year as a student teacher.

Jayla Harris is 12 years old and is in the 7th grade. She loves to dance and has been dancing for five years. Her favorite style of dance is Contemporary. Jayla’s favorite thing to do at dance is to learn choreography with her friends.

Madison Lanier is 13 years old and is a helper teachers here at Off Broadway. She loves going to the pool and shopping. Her favorite stores are Palmetto Moon, 5 Below ,and Bath and Body Works. She has 7 dogs but not all at the same home. She has 3 at her mom’s house and 4 at her dad’s. She has 3 brothers, a step brother who is twelve , a half brother who is two , and my brother brother hahahaha who is 15 about to be 16. Her passion is dance and in the future she hopes to open my own dance studio. She has been in dance for 5 going on 6 years she absolutely loves it and wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.

Kayleigh McFarland is a dancer of nearly 15 years. She began dancing at three years old, and started dancing competitively at seven. In Atlanta, she danced with a close knit team, and took ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and lyrical. Upon moving to Richmond Hill, she started to take pointe and contemporary. In 2014, she auditioned for a summer course at Joffrey Ballet in New York City, and made it in. She spent a week in NYC focusing on ballet and pointe, and taking lessons from different professional teachers. Apart from ballet, she has performed five tap solos: winning high gold with three, and platinum with the newest two. She loves taking dance, and well as teaching. Her hope is to continue taking and teaching dance for years to come. Dance is her passion!

Kaitlyn Molpus is going to be in 8th grade at RHMS. She has a brother that is ten and a sister that is almost two. Kaitlyn does all styles of dance at Off Broadway, and is on the competition team. In her free time she does a lot of babysitting, and loves working with kids. She is very excited for the upcoming year.

Elizabeth Powell is an 8th grader at Richmond Hill Middle School who enjoys dancing. Elizabeth enjoys dancing with her Off Broadway family in the areas of tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, pointe, and tone and tumble. Elizabeth was recognized for her tap solo at the Beta Club Convention and was asked to return to dance at the National Beta Convention as one of the Premier Performers comprised of performers from across the nation. This year marks Elizabeth’s fourth year as a member of the Off Broadway Competition Team which has afforded her the opportunity to compete with the group level as well as individually while winning multiple awards including platinum. Elizabeth has also showcased her talents at the school's talent show, where she won second place. Elizabeth began helping as an assistant dance teacher during the 2017-2018 school year and believes that her many dance experiences will help her be a better assistant dance teacher! When Elizabeth is not at the dance studio, she enjoys playing the clarinet in the RHMS band, helping out with the RHMS Beta Club, or creating lessons for Club 412/FCA, which is based off of 1st Timothy 4:12 and Elizabeth wholeheartedly believes, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”.

Lacey Yaklin has been dancing since the age of 1. She has taken classes in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary, hip hop, and acro. Her favorite genre of dance is contemporary. She has been a member of the Off Broadway Competition Team since 2014 and has many team and individual medals and overall awards. Lacey enjoys performing at community events, nursing homes, and on the stage. When she is not dancing, Lacey enjoys riding her bike, swimming, and spending time with her friends.
